Meet Melissa

Hi! I have been an Occupational Therapist, working with neurodivergent children and adults for 30 years. I graduated from Boston University in 1994. Since then, I have worked in many schools, private clinics and homes. I am a certified autism spectrum disorder clinical specialist who is driven to create individualized transitional programs for neurodivergent adults. Transitional programs focus on incorporating my clients' strengths and interests into activities of daily living, social, leisure and vocational activities. My true passion has always been program development. 

 

I am now the owner of the Uniquely You Miami-Dade publication. We are a physical and digital magazine where families of individuals with disabilities submit their personal stories, are provided with a key resource guide from birth through adulthood and are connected with TRUSTED local businesses. Uniquely You is a national magazine distributed by the N2 company. The N2 company has been around for more than 20 years with over 800 publications nationwide. Currently, Uniquely You is published in 8 states, including Jacksonville and Naples.  Orlando, Palm Beach and Tampa are currently in the ramp up stage.

 

Miami-Dade is scheduled to print in October 2026.

I am also very passionate about dog training. I have trained my American Staffordshire Terrier mix, Murphey, to become a therapy dog. We have spent hours together bringing peace and love to autistic adults.​​ My cat Avery is also a therapy provider!
